After learning all about Scotland last week we travelled on to Wales this week. It has been another week of wonderful learning and we were even lucky enough to welcome Mrs Caulwell in to show us some traditional Welsh clothes, a leek, some daffodils, Jones the Engine and Idris the Dragon. We also learnt to sing 'I can sing a Rainbow' in Welsh! Obviously we couldn't pass up the opportunity to make and taste Welsh Cakes. The children were very careful with the hot pans, and the end product was even better knowing htat they had helped to cook them as well as mix them!
In Maths this week we have been learning about 3D solid shapes. The children are getting really good at saying sphere, cylinder, cube and cuboid and they even managed to find some triangular prisms.
As well as all of this the children have even squeezed in lots of their own learning in too!
We'll be finishing off our Around the British Isles by finding out lots about London next week.
Remember we have our Exhibition on Friday 10th February. We'd love to see you there so we can show you all the exciting things we've been up to!
