This week, Mrs Rylands held her first felting workshop. Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents and family members of the children in Group 1 who were able to attend the session. We hope that you enjoyed learning how to create felt and maybe even left the afternoon feeling inspired to have a go at home. The pieces of felt that the children have produced are incredibly beautiful and effective and we will be using them to create some very special things! Group 2 will experience their felting workshop on Tuesday 28th November. If you are unsure whether your child will be in this group, please come and chat to us. Thank you, Mrs Rylands, for sharing your fantastic art skills with us all :-)
Also this week...........
In Science, we have started learning about forces. We have thought about which toys require a push, pull (or twist) to move. We now know that forces make toys start moving, speed up, slow down, change direction or stop. We enjoyed looking at photographs of old and new toys, as well as handling some real toys, to describe which forces are required. Next week, we will be making our own 'pull' toy to help us understand forces in greater detail.
