Our New Topic: SUPERHEROES
Welcome back to Summer Term 1 ! We hope that you have all had a lovely Easter holiday and are ready for the busy term ahead.
Owl class had a fantastic day on Friday launching our new topic, dressed as superheroes. The children (and staff) looked fabulous in their outfits and we had a lot of fun describing our characters to see if others could guess who we were; creating pictograms of our favourite superheroes and painting pictures of our superheroes to go on display. We discussed what qualities a hero has and we agreed that not all superheroes wear their pants on top of their trousers! Many ordinary people can become heroes by the extraordinary things that they do. We decided that people such as doctors, nurses and firefighters were all heroes too because of the life-saving work that they do all the time. We have turned our role-play area into a doctor's surgery so that we can play at being heroes. It has been great fun!
The abacus homework for this week is called Beetle Bump - please take a few minutes to have a go. Spellings will be coming home at the beginning of next week
