We have had lots of fun in PE this week, improving our ball skills and learning the basics of archery.
In our archery session we all had a go at loading the bow, drawing the string and aiming the arrow. It was quite difficult at first but, with perseverance and effort, we all improved throughout the session and some of us even managed to hit the target! We all had a really good time and our teachers were pleased to see how we cheered each other on.
In our second PE session of the week we worked in pairs to throw and catch different sized balls. We had to look at our partner, hold our hands out ready to catch the ball and pass the ball carefully so that our friends could catch it. We found that the smaller balls were harder to catch than the bigger balls but we were keen to challenge ourselves. We are looking forward to our next PE session already!
The abacus homework for this week is called 'Marching Madness'. Our new spellings should have come home this evening. Please help your child to learn these ready for a test next week.
