This week we have been learning lots about our class bird, the Puffin. We have been looking at its features and beautifully labelling diagrams. Puffins have webbed feet to help them swim and catch fish....and did you know, they can fit up to 60 fish in their beak at one time? Amazing. We have also been looking at colours and textures and created some wonderful pictures of puffins using paint and collage materials.
In Geography this week we have been continuing our study of maps. We went on a tour of the school and we were able to plot all of he classrooms onto a map of the school. We have also been exercising lots in PE focussing on games to help us with our concentration and listening skills.
We are going to start a new topic next week...'On The Farm', which we will be starting with a trip to Warleigh Lodge Farm. We are very excited about meeting the animals up close and learning about the role of a farmer.
