Medieval Afternoon Preparations
We have been very busy this week preparing songs, dances and some items of clothing for our Medieval afternoon next Tuesday. We have lots of lovely work to share with you and hope that as many adults as possible will be able to join us for our celebrations from 2pm on 4th April.
In Maths, we have been working hard to add and subtract single digits from a 2-digit number and we have been revising the o'clock, half past and quarter past times on an analogue and digital clock.
Thank you to all those children who bought in and shared their fabulous Knight homework. We have been very impressed with all the hard work that went into the drawings, models, suits of armour and information texts that have been completed. We will be awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates at the Medieval afternoon on Tuesday.
This week we has been science week and each class have been looking at all areas of science. the Puffins and Owls were looking at all the colours in nature and discussing the colours we can see around us. We talked about the seasons and the different colours you might see in each one and we were surprised at how many different colours we could actually find at this time of year.
We made a colour palette using sticky tape and a picture of a house using the natural materials we found on the trim trail - can you see what we have used?
