We have had such a busy week this week...starting with pancakes. We celebrated pancake day by making our own yummy pancakes in Year 1. We topped them with lemon, sugar and chocolate sauce - which was a big hit! A massive thank you to Mrs Bra and Miss Hiller for making the pancakes and also to Mrs Bishall for helping us decorate them.
World Book Day
We all really enjoyed World Book Day this year and there were some fantastic costumes in the class, even Miss Keen and Mrs Bray dressed up as the Cheshire Cat and Little Red Riding Hood. We wrote about our characters in English and created pictograms of our characters in maths. A great day was had by all.
Farleigh Hungerford Castle
We were so lucky with the weather today, apart from a little drizzle early on, it stayed nice and dry for us. The Puffins really enjoyed exploring the castle ruins and thinking about what the rooms might have been used for (dungeons was a very popular guess). We also really enjoyed our workshop in the afternoon with Amanda, who told us about the jobs tat people would have had and let us dress up in old fashioned clothes too. We learned lots about the castle and had a really fun day.
