Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an Italian painter who was best know for creating wonderful portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruit and vegetables. This week we have really enjoyed creating our own pictures using real objects in a similar style. I think you will be very impressed by our creative talents!
,This week we have also enjoyed a visit from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust where we have taken part in a workshop to learn more about recycling. We were very good at sorting all the items that could be recycled and all of those that could not. It was quite tricky, as plastic bottle could be recycled but not yoghurt pots. Cardboard cereal boxes can be recycled but not juice cartons! We are going to try and help our mums and dads recycle more at home so that less rubbish gets sent to landfill.
In Maths this week we have been learning to sort different shapes into groups using Venn diagrams and Carroll diagrams. Can you guess our criteria for sorting?
Next week we are holding parent consultation evenings and hoping to meet with as many of you as possible. Please sign us so that we can keep you updated with your child's progress and let you know the best ways you can support your child's learning. We look forward to seeing you.
