We are all beginning to get very excited about Christmas but have had a busy week of checking all of the learning we have done this term. We have learnt lots of different sounds made up of special friends in Read Write Inc. These are pairs, or groups of three letters that make one sound.
Have a look at some of the sounds on the Chart below and see how many words you can make using each of the sounds.
In Maths we are getting really good at adding 3 numbers together or subtracting numbers using a number line. However we do find it a little tricky sometimes to explain how to solve a number problem in a story or a real life situation. So our teachers thought it would be really useful to have a little more practice at home. Did you manage to complete the homework? Here are some of the questions you were asked to look at.
Don't forget to read 4 times and get a grown up to sign your reading record. I'm hoping we might win the homework cup this week!
Next week are our Christmas performances followed by mince pies, mulled wine and a chance to buy some special little Christmas gifts made by your children. Please come along and support your children as they have been working really hard to prepare the gifts for you and learn their parts in the performance. Thank you.
