As a special treat this week we had a surprise visit from a theatre company who put on a fantastic version of the Jungle Book.
The whole school enjoyed an incredible performance and Wolves class especially would like to say a massive thank you to M and M productions.
Wolves class performed extremely well at sports day at the Junior School. It was a fantastic day of sport in which parents and even the odd teacher got involved.
The amazing number of events that Wolves tried their best and did incredibly well in can be seen in the slideshow below.
Everyone also took part in the marathon and wherever we finished it can be seen that everybody gave it their all.
We are all so proud of the effort that all of the Wolves put in to try to help our colour win. Go Wolves!
Last week we visited the Junior school for a terrific treasure hunt activity.
It was an amazing chance to see all of the places where we will be going when we are Year 3s in September.
From the main hall we made our way all around the grounds in a dynamic Disney character based trail. It was lovely to get to know or reacquaint ourselves with the current Year 3 children and to hear their experiences of moving to the Juniors.
Last Thursday the Junior school Year 3 teacher's came and taught a Maths lesson. This was a fantastic chance to get to know our new teachers and to see what lessons will be like next year.
We had all been really looking forward to the trip to the White Horse. We had designed and made Kites to fly and were going to do some art and science activities. The weather made it really hard to fly the kites but we still made the best of our time in this magical place.
All of us managed to keep a smile on our faces despite very challenging conditions.
Even on the wettest day the White Horse was still a very impressive sight.
Thank you so much to all parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles who came to our Mr Men Workshop. It was a really great afternoon and it was lovely to see so many adults doing the exciting activities with the children.
It was also a great opportunity for the adults to see how hard we have worked this term to produce some lovely Art, Maths and English work.
We have done some really enjoyable and helpful practical maths on fractions and time.
we used masking tape to halve lots of items around the class.
We then used our masking tape to create quarters around the class as well.
Look at our happy faces. Both the clock and our faces! We like to have a good time joke in Wolves.
We conducted an experiment, using the ingredients of bread, to discover which ones were the most useful/ vital to make the bread rise properly and be tasty to eat. We took out one of salt, yeast and margarine from 3 batches of buns and baked 2 with all the ingredients included.
After trying all of the bread, the best part of the experiment, we decided that the bread with all the ingredients in was the best. A very successful and tasty experiment!
