21st March 2021 Patterns and 3D shape

In maths this week we have been looking at 3D shapes and also recognising and building increasingly difficult repeating patterns. These moved on from ABABAB patterns to AABBAABBAABB, ABCABCABC and AABCAABC. The children spotted these when following actions and have also linked their learning by making repeating patterns by using 3D shapes. Starfish class have also investigated what 2D shapes they can make using 3D shapes.
