Wow, what a week we have had this week in Glow Worms class! It has been lovely to spend this week getting to know the children, hearing all about the things that they love doing at home and in school while establishing our new school routines alongside.
It has also been so lovely to meet lots of parents on the gate this week and I look forward to seeing as many as possible at the meet the teacher event on Wednesday 21st September. If anyone has any worries, please do come and see us. The door is always open!
In class this week we have started our new topic on the animal kingdom where we were lucky enough to have a video call with a zookeeper from Whipsnade Zoo. This was a brilliant session where the children learnt all about animal group classification and then had the opportunity to ask the zookeeper questions at the end where they came up with all kinds of fantastic questions. The children have brought home their knowledge organisers this week in their homework books where you will be able to find out all about our topic.
Well done Glow Worms for a fantastic first week, we look forward to all the fun we're going to have this year!
