Another brilliant week

Beetle Class have had another brilliant week - so much so, that we had to send for more silver stickers!

in Maths, we have been counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and looking for patterns in the times tables.  The children have demonstrated great maths vocabulary and teamwork when using the resources.

During PE the children had to concentrate very hard when mirroring their partners movements.  They built on from the previous lessons, and incorporated some balance poses.   The whole class then made a 'whole class mirror'.

We have started our new topic of 'Weather'.  We took our learning outside of the classroom on Monday and the children took on the role of a meteorologists.  We have continued to observe the weather daily and record our findings on the working wall.  The children have shared some fantastic descriptions of the ever changing autumnal weather.  On this note, please remember to send your child into school with a coat each day.

The children have enjoyed reading all about Cottonwool Colin's adventures during story time this week.  Here's the link so you too can share it at home.   We also had a library session and all the children chose a book to take home to share.

We are going on our trip to Westonbirt Arboretum on Wednesday 5th October.  We will leave and return during school time and a pcked lunch will be provided by school for all children.  The children need to wear their school uniform and bring a backpack with a waterproof coat, change of clothes and welly boots.

Just a reminder, PE is on Tuesday and the children should come to school in their PE kit.

Mrs Jeffery will be in class; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with Mrs Rockey taking Beetle Class on Thursday.

Well done again Beetle Class.
