First Days at School

The children have enjoyed eating their lunch in the hall and getting to know all the MDSAs who are on hand to guide them. First thing in the morning, the children are beginning to find their name and add it to the dinner register.

We have played a variety of counting games and have explored a variety of different maths resources. The children have also already shown off their wonderful counting skills.

Next week we will be reading The Colour Monster and discussing different feelings we experience. We will also start Read, Write, Inc and learn some sounds and get to meet 'Fred the frog'. Our school chickens should also return from their summer break!

Miss McMillan will be taking the class on Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon this week.
