Friday 13th May - Millipedes are super learners

This week Millipedes learning has been based around the story 'Supertato'. This has created many learning opportunities in our classroom. We have made our own supertato in the creative area, written what we think each of the characters might be saying in speech bubbles and designed our own superheroes and detailed the super powers that they had. This week we had heavy rain, but this did not stop our learning, we put our waterproofs and continued learning both inside and out.

We have been lucky enough this week to be joined by 2 special visitors. The first was the wonderful Rosie the dog. Rosie is our school dog and we are lucky enough that in term 5 we have her to join in with our learning. The children enjoyed stroking Rosie and helped her settle into the classroom environment. Our second visitor was Speedy who was Miss Salmon's Tortoise, Miss Salmon had speedy in school for part of her class' learning and thought that Millipedes would like to see him. The children were very calm, patient and gentle with Speedy which was excellent.

Millipedes have been focusing on improving their writing and they are working hard to keep practicing their writing.

Another wonderful week Millipedes class.

Information for the week ahead:

Monday, Wednesday - Friday: Miss Hues and Miss Grieve in class.
