We have had another brilliant week in Glow worms class this week establishing our new class routines and getting used to being in Year 1.

The children have been doing some brilliant maths work looking at how to work out one more than a number using a variety of apparatus including numicon, counters, tens frames and multi link cubes. They have had to use their teamwork skills to share equipment and work together to solve problems. They have done this superbly.

In Topic we have focused on how to group animals by what they eat learning the language of carnivore, herbivore and omnivore. The children were great at this and some were comparing what animals eat to what we eat. They also wrote some brilliant riddles based on their favourite animals that I will share with you next week.

Well done for a super week Glow worms!
