Investigators, explorers and detectives!

What a wonderful day we have had exploring The Wild Place in Bristol today.  The weather really made us feel like we were on a safari as we navigated our way through the Savanah to see giraffes and zebras, lemurs and  meerkats; pygmy goats and weaver birds.  The children were amazing at seeking out the shade, keeping their hats on and applying their sun screen frequently.  After munching our tasty lunch in a lovely sheltered area, we meandered our way through the treetop canopy down into the woods to search for wolves and bears.  And sure enough we saw both!  And they were 2 BIG brown furry  bears.  The children were super detectives and explorers and had a lovely but hot day.  Well done Beetle class.  I was very proud of how well you behaved and was super pleased that you all decided to come home rather than stay with the animals.  A really big Thank you too, to all the lovely parent helpers who came with us today.  We couldn't have managed without you.
