Algorithms Debugging and Bee Bots

This week we have continued to use algorithms to follow and set instructions for a Bee Bot to follow.  We needed to debug the bee Bot if the instructions were incorrect and thought carefully about what then algorithm would look to get to different creatures on our map.  The children worked really well with taking turns in their small groups and using their topaz gem power to share, take turns and ensure everyone's ideas were listened to.

Our Amazing World

We have really enjoyed our geography topic over the past few weeks all about the 7 continents and 5 oceans.  We have whizzed around the world finding out some amazing facts about different continents such as what and where you would find the tallest mountains; the longest river; the largest rain forest; the tallest animal and unique animals.  We have learnt about where the 5 oceans are and what creatures live in them and we had fund learning some songs to help us remember them.  Here are some examples of our fantastic writing.

 PLEASE HELP!

Could we please ask you to have a REALLY GOOD CHECK at home this weekend for any of the home book bag books that your children have been bringing home since September.  We are finding that we have lots of books that have not been brought back.  As you know the home reading books are matched exactly to what your child is reading in their RWI sessions in school.  If your child has not brought their book back to school it means that another child cannot have the book they need. Please also ensure they are looked after at home as they are really costly to replace.  Thank you for your support with this.
