Marvelous Maths

This week in Maths we have been learning to count back and use the language of one less.  The children have been working really hard to practically show one less  using numicon, unifix or number tracks and saying out loud one less than 6 is 5, one less than 10 is 9 and 7 is one less than 8.  They  then started  to represent one less pictorially and finally using numerals.  

Sizzling Scientists

We have continued this week to learn about different parts of the body; naming and labelling them and we really enjoyed learning about our 5 senses.  Can you tell your grown up what our 5 senses are and which parts of our body we use for each of our senses?  

Super Stories

Our super story that we have shared this week is Tiddler by Julia Donaldson.  The children have really enjoyed joining in with the repetitive refrain so here is a link if you would like to read it at home together.
