SPORTS DAY SUPERSTARS!

What a great day Beetle class had today at sports day with the other children from Westbury infant school.  It is always lovely to be part of a whole school event and great that so many parents were able to come and cheer the children on.  The event started with the talented  toddler race: followed by speedy sprinters, sassy sack racers and joyous javelin throwers.  Others took part showing  great determination and team work in the  three legged race, had fun in the obstacle race and finally finished with the marathon run which turned out to be a half marathon as the leaders lost focus on the course and cut off a massive chunk but they all kept on running to the very end.  Next it was the turn of the parents who showed great determination and sportsmanship in the mums and dads sprints.  Lots of fun was had by all and we were really fortunate that the weather stayed dry for the whole event.
