Friday 25th March - Mother's Day baking
This week’s learning in Millipedes we have been looking at the book ‘Dear Zoo.’ The children have enjoyed creating their own lift the flap books and pages. They have been using their phonics knowledge to write clues for me to guess what the animal is.
We have been looking at 3D shapes in Maths. We have been on a shape hunt looking for the shapes in our provision areas. Miss Hues bought in some food from her kitchen cupboards, the millipedes has to decide what 3D shape the food items were. To finish off the week, we used marshmallows and cocktails sticks to make different 3D shapes.
The children enjoyed making Mothers Day Cards this week and weighing, measuring and mixing the ingredients for their shortbread hearts for their mums. Mum’s we hope you enjoyed them. We have an Assembly on Monday to celebrate you at 9am, please do come along.
