This has been another super busy week in Ladybird Class. The children started the week with our Discothon. It was great fun dancing through the day and the children still worked really hard!

Year One have been comparing numbers using <, > and =. We have been really impressed with how well the children have done. We have used cubes and counters to support our learning. For Topic the children have become Artists and are finding out about Augusta Savage. The children looked at their faces and drew wonderful self portraits. Next week we will be making clay busts. The children are really looking forward to it.

Year Two have been counting in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s. We have used counters, tens frames and numicon to help us. In topic the children have started thinking about the weather in Geography. They are building on knowledge they learnt in Science in Year One. Mr Brewer popped in to a lesson this week and was very impressed to hear the children making links in their learning.

We enjoyed moving in different ways in PE, building on skills we learnt last week. In Music the children have begun to use the glockenspiels. They had a great time! It was very loud, but lots of fun.

In Computing we have been learning about Algorithyms and Inputs and Outputs. We used lego, colouring, actions and finally a 'Draw with Rob' to make our own. It was lots of fun!

We have been enjoying 'My Monster and Me' by Nadiya Hussain. Please share the story at home on this link:

Next week we have our trips on Wednesday. The Year Two children need a backpack, waterproof coat, change of clothes and welly boots. Year One need a back pack, waterproof coat and welly boots. All the children need to wear their school jumpers. We will be outside all day on both trips.

Mrs Macfarlane is on PPA on Thursday so lovely Miss McMillan will be in.

Have a lovely weekend.
