Friday 4th February - Millipedes Welly Walk

Millipedes have had an excellent week at school this week. We continued with our topic of Westbury and Beyond. We learnt more about Westbury by going on another welly walk. This week we went to the train station, we talked about where the trains might go to and we were lucky enough to see a train leaving the station.

In Maths this week we have been looking at the numbers 6, 7 and 8. We have been looking at different ways that we can make 6, 7 and 8. We have used numicon and number blocks to show different ways of making them. 

Read Write Inc has been going well and the children are all settled in their groups. You can always use your child's sound cards at home with them to increase their confidence and the sound book to practise their letter formation. 

Millipedes will be doing  junk modelling on Wednesday next week as part our of Expressive Art and Design, we will be making buildings the children have seen in Westbury. If you have any (nut free) small boxes/packaging please can you send them in with your child, so they can use them in their designs.  Thank you.
