Friday 6th May - What a busy week

Millipedes have had another wonderful week at school, we have been so busy that we haven’t managed to take as many pictures as usual!

This week we have been continuing looking at numbers from 10 – 20. We have explored adding one more and seeing our answer get bigger. We have used our 10 frames to help us understand the composition of the numbers 11- 20.

We have been focusing on our writing in Millipedes, using pictures printed on stickers the children have loved writing all about them. The children have enjoyed writing simple sentences this week and this has made Miss Hues so proud! The Millipede children have been so keen pick up their pencils and just have a go.

This week we have been focusing on what we want to be when we are older. The children have made their own picture and have written what they want to be when they are older. In Art, we have been completing our own self-portraits, we have had to focus and use a mirror to carefully look at our features and draw them. Finally, in PE this week we have been looking at ball control, we have been sending and receiving balls in our partners and putting our hand eye coordination to the test.

Another fabulous week for the lovely Millipede Class. Let’s see what next week brings.
