What a wonderful and busy last week of term we have had Hedgehogs!

We have been doing addition and subtraction in maths. We used double sided counters and tens frames to support our learning. It is so wonderful to see how independent the children have become at using the resources to help them solve addition and subtraction problems.

In art we used clay to make our own clay tiles in the style of Charlotte Hupfield. She is an artist who uses things she finds in nature to press into clay. They children really enjoyed rolling the clay to make it smooth, squashing the clay using their palms and then using a variety of things from our outside area to press carefully into the clay. The finished tiles were fabulous!

We finished the week with our very special WIS book day. The children all looked wonderful dressed up. They did some wonderful writing to describe who they were. They are really using their sounds now, which is just wonderful and we are very proud of them!

Our term ended with the Easter Bunny hopping in to drop off some eggs.

All the Year One team we wish all the children and home grown ups a fabulous Easter holibobs! See you in Term 5 for more learning fun!
