The children were full of questions and stories as we visited the secret garden, the old Infant school, football ground, High Street and had great fun at the park where we bumped into the Year 6 pupils from Westbury Juniors!

• Friday 6 February 2026 6th February 2026 This week the children have been finding doubles, constructing, making potions, counting, talking about animals, observing the seasons and improving our core strength, along with greater agility, balance and coordination.
• Friday 30 January 2026 30th January 2026 Another busy week in Koala Class. The children have enjoyed the story of The Three Little Pigs. They have also been playing different musical instruments, building, problem solving, writing and so much more!
• Friday 23 January 2026 23rd January 2026 This week we had an assembly explaining about the history of our school badge, enjoyed the story of Handa's Surprise, played a glockenspiel, compared mass, had another Far Away Friday and also managed to get outside.
• Friday 16 January 2026 16th January 2026 Another busy week in which CCTV caught some Gingerbread people running through our classroom. The children set about making some traps to catch them and I think this must have scared them off, so we made our own and gobbled them up! Many of the children in Koala class are now learning the 'special friends' sh, th, ch, ng, nk, qu and ck. Please continue to use the sound card pack at home to be able to state all the Set 1 sounds at high speed.
• Friday 9 January 2026 9th January 2026 Happy New Year! We do hope you had a fabulous holiday and had a chance to get a little rest. The children have slotted back in to the routines of school and have started 'Drawing Club', this week based around the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They have also started new Read, Write, Inc groups. Please come and see me if you have any queries about these.

• Wednesday 17 December 2025 17th December 2025 We hoped you enjoyed the performance of Wriggly Nativity. The children have worked hard to learn the songs in such a short space of time and loved performing on stage to such a large audience. They are now ready for a well deserved rest! Have a very Merry Christmas!
• Friday 12 December 2025 12th December 2025 The children in Koala Class have continued to learn our songs for the nativity performances coming up next week. They have also been working hard making festive gifts and crafts. In maths, they have been learning about shapes and how they can be combined/folded to make different shapes. The children have also talked about their day and ordered events from waking up in the morning to bed time.
