19th March A very busy week of learning!

We have been very busy this week.

In maths we have been measuring mass and capacity. We started the week by using the balance scales to count how many cubes different classroom objects weighed. By the end of the week the children were measuring how many pots of water were needed to fill different containers to find the capacity.

In Science we are now looking at Plants. We explored different fruits and vegetables that can be grown in our country. We looked really carefully at the detail and then cut them in half to see what the insides were like. Next we planted our own potatoes. We are going to make sure we water them and leave them in a sunny spot. Hopefully they will grow big and strong over the next few months. We are looking forward to watching them to grow.
