Beetle Class Assembly Line

This week we have learnt how Henry Ford changed the car industry for the better. He made a car called the Model T. He developed the assembly line to make it cheaper and faster to make the cars. This meant that more people could have a car.

In our History lesson we worked in groups to create an assembly line to see how this way of building something is faster. Each person had their own job and they became an expert at that job.

We used playdough for the body of the car, a pretzel for the steering wheel, cheerios for the wheels, straws for the exhaust and raisins for the lights.

We made 17 cars in 5 minutes! What busy Beetles we are!
