Easter celebrations and New Life!

This week Butterfly class have been preparing for our Easter egg hunt.  They carefully coloured in their Easter eggs ready to find them hidden around the trim trail.  And if they were clever enough to find them they could give them to the Easter bunny who would exchange it for a delicious chocolate egg! They have also been busy at home decorating eggs for our Easter egg competition.  I thought I would share with you their wonderful creations, all unique and  special in their own way.

We have been finishing our learning this week on plants and observing our bean plants.  We soon discovered that the seeds that had been planted in the soil, kept in the warm, watered and once germinated was able to take in carbon dioxide, were the seeds that grew the most.  The children all created a lovely picture of a tree or plant growing and were able to label each of its parts.  They have also remembered some of the plants that they spotted growing in or near our sensory garden.  Great learning Butterfly class! You are super stars!

Next term we will begin by learning some more about the changing seasons, taking a closer look at Spring.  The topic web will therefore be the same as one from term 1 so please refer back to that in their homework books.

We hope you all have a really lovely Easter time and come back to school refreshed and ready to learn more amazing and wonderful things. x
