Friday 13th October

What a busy week we have had in Bumblebees class!

Our older learners have continued to look at the story Lila and the Secret of Rain, they have written descriptions of the character Lila and thought about her appearance and her personality, we had some fantastic descriptive language from the children, well done! In math's, the children have continued to strengthen their understanding of number bonds and different ways of making numbers using addition sentences. For topic this week they have made brilliant colourful leaves that will be used to make a hanging mobile in continuation with their learning about the sculptor Alex Caldor. We also had a trip to All Saints Church on Wednesday to celebrate Harvest, we were incredibly proud of them and their singing was fantastic.

Our younger learners have been been learning about all things related to Row Row Row Your Boat. We have made crocodiles, polar bears and lions and learnt how to sing and sign the song. The children have explored cold and wet and looked at the habitats of these animals. In addition to this we have tried to create rivers and explored crossing them safely. The children are doing very well with their phonics sessions and I'm pleased to hear children are really enjoying watching the videos linked to the sounds they have been focusing on. Thank you for your support on this.
