Noah's Ark Trip for Leopard Class!

This week, as part of our new topic about Kenya, we went to Noah's Ark Zoo. We were lucky enough to see so many different animals, including three of the big 5 (rhino, elephants and lions). The children also saw owls, emu, a selection of farm animals, zebra, giraffes, bears, gibbons and camels. We were lucky enough to attend a talk about the meerkats and some of the children were brave enough to feed them a black beetle.

In Geography, the children learned about and had a go at drawing members of the Big 5, which we later combined to show all of them together. We have also looked at the Maasai tribe and compared their culture and lifestyle to ours in Westbury.

As you can see from the pictures, the children have had a very packed week!
