Swimming and Pictograms!

This week, the children have really worked very hard in school. With one week to go before the Easter Holidays, the children have their last swimming lesson on Tuesday.  I am so proud of all of them and its been so lovely to see their confidence blossom in the water.  Well done Panda’s.

In Math's this week, the year 1 children have been revising their addition and subtraction calculations and the year 2 children have been looking at pictograms, bar graphs and how to interpret data.

In English, we have been writing a sequel to the story Goldilocks and The Three Bears. The children have done lots of acting which they have really enjoyed. We have been introduced to a new character Rosie Red, who is fixing all the problems caused by Goldilocks.  The children wrote some fantastic sentences with adjectives and noun phrases. I was so impressed!

In Science, we are continuing our topic on Plants.  The children have enjoyed growing seeds and putting them in different areas of the classroom to see which ones grow the best. Don't forget to send us photos of your sunflowers at home.  We would love to see how big they are getting.

Next week the last day of term is Thursday and we return on Tuesday 15th April.  Next Thursday is a non-uniform day in exchange for a £1 donation.

Don’t forget:

Parent event is 2:30pm on Monday.

Tuesday- year 2 scootability and last swimming lesson.

Thursday- Easter egg hunt and last day of term.
