Y1 Remote Learning Page
Hello year 1s! This is where our daily learning will be now that our bubble has popped and we are self isolating at home.
We know that you will be fantastic with your home learning just like you were in Lockdown. We will be following the same daily pattern as we did before. Although this week we have an exciting Teams on Tuesday. More information about that soon.
Please email us with any questions or concerns, or use the TAWK instant chat app which you can see in the bottom right corner of the page. We will get back to you as soon as we can between the hours of 9am and 3:05pm.
Badger email: email@example.com
Hedgehog email: firstname.lastname@example.org
We would also love to see and celebrate any completed work so please do email this to us and we can add it to our class blog. Keep your work together in your blue books to bring into school once we return.
Stay safe and we can't wait to see you soon.

Red, White and Blue Day!
Happy Friday Year One! It was so lovely to see so many happy smiling faces at our class assemblies yesterday. It really cheered us all up and we are looking forward to seeing you back in school next week.
We are hoping lots of you will join us at 2.30pm this afternoon for a special sporty whole school assembly. We are sure you as excited as us that England have made it through to the finals of the Euros this weekend. Come along in your red, white and blue, waving flags and we can celebrate together!
Now it is time to get ready for our last day of remote learning. Let's get ready with a sporty themed dance...
Well done for working so hard children. As it is Friday let's start with a Draw with Rob to relax with. Can you guess why we chose a lion?
Remember our special whole school assembly at 2.30pm. The link will have been emailed to you this morning.
If you would like to grab a cuddly friend and snuggle up for a story please do. Today we have chosen one of the Albie stories that we have read in school. Welcome to Alien School by Caryl Hart seemed like a good one to end the week on. Have a fabulous weekend and we are so excited to see you next week!

Today's story is Goat and Donkey is Strawberry Sunglasses by Simon Puttock and Russell Julian. In this story Goat goes shopping to help Donkey but he might buy some things that he wants rather than the things Donkey needs. Enjoy!

Right let's get started by waking up our bodies and brains...
Let's start our afternoon with a chance to relax and clear our minds...
If we had been in school today, it would have been our Sports Day. However we are not going to let self-isolation stop us! It is time for the return of our WIS Virtual Sports Day!
Remember to use those skipping ropes, you still have a couple more weeks to get those 5 skips in a row and earn a wonderful medal from Mrs Kerbey. She has them ready and waiting!
Enjoy the activities and remember to send us photos so we can celebrate your wonderful sporting achievements this afternoon!
Well done Year Ones! We are all so proud of you. We are loving seeing how busy you all are with the emails of photos your home grown ups are sending us. Keep them coming!
It's time to snuggle up and enjoy a story. Today we have chosen one that was written by Olympic Gold Medal winner Mo Farrah. It is called Ready, Steady, Mo! We hope it inspires you to keep active and work on all your personal bests! Enjoy!

So let's get started on today's learning by waking up those brains...
Well done! A great start to our remote learning week!
Let's have a relax ready for our afternoon of learning...
We are starting a new topic. It is time to be Historians as we find out about the past again...
Tomorrow we are very excited that we are having a chance to chat with an Olympian!
Well done Year One! We have finished our first day of learning at home in July. Time for us to grab a cuddly friend and cosy up for a story.
Today we are listening to a story called Together We Can by Caryl Hart. This is the same author who wrote the Albie stories that we have all loved listening to in school. It is about how different we all are but also how precious and special. We think all of our little Hedgehog and Badgers are extra especially wonderful!
We hope you enjoy the story and we hope to see lots of you in the morning when Sonia Samuels pops onto Teams for a chat...
