21st November
It’s been a very cold week in Wallaby Class! Thank you for providing the children with hats, gloves and scarves, we go out in all weather and its s lovely seeing them running around and having fun with their friends.
This week in Message Centre, we have been drawing symbols and having a go at writing words to the Gruffalo. It’s really lovely seeing the children using their imaginations to create exciting messages. They really have worked so hard this week. We have also learnt the Gruffalo song, sung by Julia Donaldson and been practicing pen disco.
In maths, we have been looking at numbers 4 and 5. We have been practicing our careful counting and making collections of these numbers, subitising and representing 4 and 5 in different ways such as 2 and 2.
In topic, we have been looking at what we might see and hear in a Woodland, we have read the Gruffalo and the children have enjoyed making a Gruffalo using playdough.
Next week
27th November Nurse Cafe: Parent Support Sessions (by appointment only)
Tuesdays and Thursdays: PE
Have a lovely weekend and see you next week!
