Wriggle Crawl and Roar!!

Monday started with an interesting sight in the classroom…you’ll never believe it but a tiger came for tea!! Check out the tiger in our classroom!! The children enjoyed listening to the story ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’ and pretending to have a tea party in the role-play area.

Dragonflies Tiger

In our topic work this week, the children have been learning all about Jungles and the animals that live there. The children have enjoyed learning facts about tigers and what they would find in a jungle. This inspired the children to create their own art work thinking carefully about the materials they use. The children had a terrific time creating tiger masks so that everyone could be the tiger that came to tea.

We couldn’t let Shrove Tuesday go by without making some delicious pancakes. There were a few disasters before the perfect pancakes were created. We would love to see your pictures of Shrove Tuesday if you had pancakes. Please upload any pictures you have to Tapestry.

Dragonflies Pancake Day

The maths this week was learning all about the number eight. The children have created their own collections of 8 and sorted objects into eight not eight. The children enjoyed creating their own Octoblocks following an episode of the numberblocks. We have looked at pairs of numbers that total 8 and the children are working on recalling these pairs of numbers by heart.
