In maths this week the children have been measuring and comparing. The week concluded with them working together to measuring out sugar, flour and butter to weigh the same as an egg. The children enjoyed cracking the eggs. We had to take a little bit of shell out of the mixture before we took it in turns to mix the ingredients together, counting back from 10 for each go.

Read, Write, Inc continues with the children in mixed class groups. Please see the Read, Write, Inc blog for further lesson links. The children using the sound cards at home, given out at parents' evening, is certainly helping them secure quick recall of all Set 1 sounds.
