Another Week!

It’s another week moving closer to the end of term.

Maths activities have been really practical this week. We started off by giving instructions for our friend to follow. We had to see if they could make the same models using the correct positional language, then we took the magic screen away to see what we had created! After this, we moved on to giving lots of instructions using left and right. To help us, we wrote a big L and R on our hands so we knew we were going the right way!

In DT we have been investigating axles and their function within the car. We had to put the wheels on the axle, secure it and see how far we could make it travel. Then we designed our cars and will be making them next week. We are really looking forward to it.

As part of both our music and graduation performance, we are learning the ocarina. It isn’t as easy as it looks! By the time graduation comes around, we will be experts!

To finish the week, we have been over to the Junior school for the final transition event. We had a super afternoon listening to Bratton brass band and enjoying being outside.

Sports day takes place next Friday (weather permitting) at 10.00 on Westbury Junior School field. Children will need to come to school in their PE kit.

Next week Mrs Russam will be in class all day Monday – Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Mrs Watts will be teaching Thursday morning and all-day Friday.

Have a super weekend.
