Around the World!

This week Firefly Class have been around the world. As part of our Geography topic we have been looking at how the weather is different around the world. We used balloons to as our globes. First we had to draw on the equator, then we had to locate the continents and place them correctly. We were able to talk about the weather in the different continents depending upon their location.

As part of our maths, we have been using apparatus to count up to the nearest 10 to help us add numbers, then we used cubes to show how to add three 1-digit numbers. In Firefly class we know, if we can talk about it, we can't write about it!

Next week we have our parent event on Monday at 2.15. Grown-ups are welcome! We will be doing some autumnal crafts. Term finishes at the normal time on Wednesday and we return to school on Monday 31st October.
