Butterflies and Boats

This week in Millipedes we have freed our butterflies and investigated boats. We have had five caterpillars, then five chrysalises  and then five butterflies in the class for the last three weeks. This week we set them free which was a wonderful event.

We have also started to investigate boats, their functions and parts. The children have made some great boat models and have loved learning about old fashioned and new, modern boats.

Unfortunately, sports day was called off due to rain ☹ It will, weather allowing, take place next Tuesday at the same time.

The children continue in their RWI groups. I am taking purple group and they have adjusted really well to the new groups and are writing so well! The RWI blog is really helpful for practicing at home if you would like.

If you have any questions regarding RWI please ask or see the link to the Read Write Inc Blog below.
