Capacity and Creativity

It's been another busy and hot week in Panda Class this week, but the children have had lots of fun and coped well with the temperature.

In maths, we have continued learning about measuring this week, but this time, about capacity and volume.  We have lots of fun exploring measuring volume practically - and we weren't too upset if we got a little wet - it helped to cool us down!

Our English lessons this week have been based around a new book called The Building Boy.  The children have thought about the story - what it might be about, their opinions about it once we had read it, and thought about the meanings of some of the trickier words in the book.

This week, we have had great fun in computing, exploring the app Color Pencil.  We took photographs of ourselves and our friends, and then used the app to edit the photographs.  There was some fabulous creativity!

We also used the app Book Creator to make books called All About Me.  We were practicing our skills of typing, altering text and inserting pictures.  The children really enjoyed this and showed great resilience when some of the skills were quite tricky.

Next week, Mrs Millard and Mrs Kerbey will be switching their days around slightly, so Mrs Kerbey will be in class on Monday and Tuesday.

Have a wonderful weekend.x
