Celebration!

This week has all been about celebrating in Glow Worm Class.

It started off with the Year 2 children learning about positional language. They talked about the words above, below, left, right, clockwise and anticlockwise. They used blocks to build towers to describe the position before moving on to drawing mazes on the playground. In the afternoon they began their sewing projects and have linked this with their learning about Mary Anning and made a fossil shape using felt. Watch this space for the final results......! To finish it all off they made scones ready for the jubilee picnic tomorrow at 2.00.

Meanwhile, the Year 1 children have been consolidating their skills using a pivot joint and made moving people. They then moved on to making their sandwiches ready for their picnic and the most wonderful fruit kebabs. Thank you to all the parents who came this afternoon. It was wonderful that the sun shone and we could all have a lovely time on the trim trail.
