Christmas Fever!

The Christmas spirit is certainly hitting Giraffe Class and Hot Chocolate our kindness elf has been watching us all from the top of the Christmas tree.

This week we have been looking at doubles of numbers and decomposing the number 6 as part of our Mastering number. In our English work we have been thinking about what it is like to be a penguin and had to use our great adjectives to describe the ice. Then we turned into male penguins and protected our egg (they might look like beanbags to you!)

We have continued our topic on the weather and this week we started looking at atlases to discover what the weather was like around the world. We looked at the different continents and had to place them all correctly on our globe.

All nativity costumes should now be in school. If you are having any problems, please do come and see us and we can help you with ideas! Giraffe class performances are Tuesday morning at 10.00 and Wednesday afternoon at 2.00 (adults only).

Just a reminder that PE kit is needed on a Wednesday and Friday with suitable footwear for PE.

Please check out the RWI blog to support your child with their reading at home. You will also find a password link to Oxford Owl and the children can read a whole selection of books to support their reading in school.

Mrs Watts will be in Giraffe Class on Friday next week.

Have a great weekend.
