Christmas is Coming for Leopards!

Leopards, Giraffes and Bees did an absolutely amazing job in their performances of Baarmy Bethlehem this week. First, a dress rehearsal to the Juniors on Wednesday and then to parents on Friday. We are looking forward to our final performance on Monday at 2pm (adults only).

I was also very impressed with Leopard Class at the church on Thursday afternoon, reciting their poem and singing the songs beautifully.

In addition to our play practice this week, we have squeezed in lots of learning!

In English, we watched an episode of Pingu, which the children found very funny! We described Pingu, where he lives, how he looked after the egg and even suggested ideas about who stole the egg and how!

Maths was all about showing and consolidating their learning. We used number lines to add and subtract, partitioned tens and ones and we even got a bit crafty, making shapes with Mrs Millard and using numicon to create pictures.

We have almost completed our geography topic ‘Why does the weather change so much?’  We have looked at weather patterns in other countries and continued to complete our daily weather journal.  This week the children showed their knowledge by becoming weather forecasters – in turn they each presented a weather forecast for the UK and then comparing countries to see how Autumn times for us looks all around the world.

We had a fun Monday afternoon by having another go at chair drumming. The children LOVED this and they did so well in following the rhythm.
