Cooking and Dancing with Glow Worms!

Glow Worm class have been busy this week. 

We started a new DT topic of cooking treats from different countries of the UK this week. We looked at what a recipe is and explored cook books to find the title, picture, ingredients, equipment and instructions. Then, we made scones for England and shortbread for Scotland. The children became very good chefs and the food tasted great! We look forward to making more treats next week.

In maths, the children estimated where numbers from 0-20 would be on a numberline and then began ordering and comparing numbers to 20. They showed a great understanding of their learning when they answered an end of unit quiz. Well done Glow Worms!

The children have not only become chefs this week, they have also become Bee-Bots for the afternoon! In computing, they thought carefully about different instructions and what vocabulary to use to guide their 'Bee-Bot' to a destination. 

In PE, the children showed off more of their dance moves. They had to listen to different types of music and change how they moved. All of them listened carefully to the beat and did a great job.
