Coronation Celebrations

What a fabulous day we've had celebrating the King's coronation!  We started the day learning an Irish dance and then we learnt all about the coronation ceremony.  We drew portraits of the King and played several different games including 'King Charles says' and 'King's corner'.  In preparation for our street party, some of us made cucumber sandwiches and some of us made jam sandwiches which was great fun.  Then in the afternoon we got together with our other friends in Year Two and had a street party where there were delicious treats for us to eat.
