Final blog post of the year for Glow Worms

WOW! What a year it has been and what a final full week!

Firstly, I would like to say a massive thank you to the children, parents and Glow Worm class TAs for welcoming me when I took over as class teacher back in November. I really can't believe how fast the time has gone and how much the children have grown! They looked so grown up this week and to see them blossom as children and as learners has been an absolute pleasure. Thanks to you as parents for your continued support day to day, and as volunteers for trips.

It was lovely to see the excitement, teamwork and encouragement on Tuesday when we had our sports day. The children had a great time racing and cheering each other on. Luckily, the weather held off for us to have a fantastic morning.

In maths, the children completed lots of investigations this week to use and consolidate learning throughout the year. They really enjoyed challenging themselves to find more than one answer and to build their resilience by keep trying until they reached the answer. The smiles on their faces when they did really showed how much they were proud of themselves.

We completed our learning of the four seasons this week by looking at summer. We made information wheels to show what we knew about it and drew pictures about what the weather is usually like, what happens and what we wear.

Well done for another fantastic week Glow Worm class! Keep up the hard work as you move into Year 2 and see you for the final 2 days of the year next week!
