Friday 11th March - Millipedes are bakers

It has been a wonderful week again in Millipedes and it was lovely to meet so many Millipedes family members this week at Parent’s consultations, thank you for coming along.

This week was very busy and our learning was based around the Story of ‘The Little Red Hen’. We have learnt all about wheat and how it is made into flour that can be used to make bread. Millipede’s class really enjoyed understanding where their food came from, and we finished off the week by making our own wholemeal bread rolls. Millipedes loved baking the bread, and then eating it.

Wendy and Tyler the dog came and worked with our class this week. Wendy and the children read books to Tyler. The children find this very therapeutic and really enjoy spending time with Wendy and Tyler.

We had a dance workshop on Friday which was brilliant. The workshop was based on the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ which leads into our book of the week for next week.

We had a fantastic week in Millipedes, I hope next week is just as fabulous.
