Friday 20th June 2025

What a fantastic week it’s been in Honeybee Class! Despite the very hot weather, the children have remained enthusiastic and engaged in all our learning and activities.

In English, we have been exploring the story Sharing a Shell. The children thoroughly enjoyed joining in with the repeated refrains and took part in thoughtful discussions about the importance of sharing – considering when, why, and with whom we share. They also created some beautiful ocean-themed artwork inspired by the story.

A highlight of the week was our sensory storytelling session. The children had the chance to explore shells, feel the sand, hear the sound of the waves, and even experience a splash of water on their skin. It was a truly immersive experience that brought the story to life and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

In Maths, we have been focusing on ordering numbers. The children worked with large number lines to place numbers in the correct order, and it has been lovely to see their confidence grow throughout the week.

We’ve also been making the most of the sunny weather by exploring a sea life small world, building sandcastles, and creating rock pools. It’s been a wonderful opportunity for imaginative play and exploration.

Well done to all the children in Honeybee Class – you’ve had an amazing week!

Have a lovely weekend all.
