We have been extremely busy bees in Bumblebee Class this week. Our reception children have focused on shapes this week, being able to spot them in our environment and name them. In addition to this they have focused on the well known, 'That's not my,' books and used describing texture words such as hard, soft, rough and smooth and created wonderful textured animals including a fantastic giant bumblebee. In Year 1 the children have been learning all about fractions in math's. The children learnt to find half of a quantity and a quarter of a shape. In addition to this the children learnt all about Shabbat and why this time of the week is special for Jewish families. Some of our Year 1 children were very busy on Wednesday as they joined the mainstream classes for a walk around Westbury and they were fantastic at spotting landmarks in our local community. Our Year 2 children have worked extremely hard this week as it has been SATs week. We couldn't be more proud of how hard they have tried. In addition to this they have been using their sewing skills to make wonderful puppets, they were so resilient! Keep it up Year 2's, super work!

Well done Bumblebee Class for all your hard work this week, have a super weekend!
