Friday 20th May - Bobbing at Buckingham!

This week, Ladybirds have been continuing with time during maths, we have covered 'time words', before after, yesterday, tomorrow, next week, in a year, first, second and last ect, we have also covered o'clock, half past and started to explore seconds, minutes, hours, day, week, month and what this means in relation to time.

In RE this week we have been continuing to learn about Judaism and specifically about Hanukkah - The festival of light. Most of the Ladybirds were able to create their own Dreidel and have a go at playing the game - which they loved!

We have also started our new DT topic where we have been looking at hinge joints, simple sliders and pivot joints. This week Ladybirds have made some fantastic Buckingham palace gates using their hinge joints and a bobbing Queen using a simple slider. Next week we will be making Corgis with moving legs and tail by using a pivot joint! We are definitely getting into the Jubilee spirit!

In regards to the Jubilee and Parent event on Thursday, if you would like, please bring a blanket or picnic blanket to sit on, if the weather is nice we will be having our picnic outside! Thank you.
